The OCIC held our 3rd Quarter Full Board of Trustees Meeting on Thursday, August 17 at the Catawba Island Club. The meeting included an update on OCIC activities including OhioMeansJobs resources, a Strategic Plan quarterly update, and an “Around the County” featuring Ottawa County’s Mayors and Shores & Islands Ohio.

OCIC Executive Director Chris Singerling provided an update on recent and ongoing activities within OCIC’s Strategic Plan. This included:

Monica Metcalf, Manager of Employment Resources, spoke about the services and resources the OhioMeansJobs Ottawa County center provides.

Quarterly Strategic Plan Update

Chris provided an update on the current progress of the Strategic Plan. An updated third quarter tracking document will be sent out next month.
Around the County
OCIC Trustee and Associate members heard Elmore Mayor Tom Jackson, Genoa Mayor Tom Bergman, Oak Harbor Mayor Quinton Babcock, Port Clinton Mayor Mike Snider and Shores & Islands Ohio Executive Director Larry Fletcher. Each speaker had the opportunity to give an update on current activities and projects going on in their communities.
