Ottawa County HR Network

The HR Network exists to develop a robust network of HR professionals in Ottawa County focused on fostering collaboration, encouraging communication, and promoting best practices: together, being committed to building a knowledgeable, qualified, and healthy workforce.

DEFINE

Best practices for growth and retention of our workforce, opportunities to collaborate, and how to maintain compliance with employment laws and government regulations.

DEDICATE

Energy and resources to foster a safe and healthy work environment coupled with the Time and effort to train, inspire, develop, and encourage employees promoting individual success.

DEVELOP

Ideas for fostering community engagement while simultaneously creating strategies to improve workforce participation and effective leadership for ourselves and our team.

EMBRACE

Creativity and innovation that will act as the catalyst for new ideas, working together to create an atmosphere that challenges and improves everyday work life.

Meetings take place every other month at various locations across Ottawa County, with coffee and breakfast provided for attendees.

Previous meetings have featured guest speakers on topics such as wage disclosures, employee and employer rights, marijuana laws and substance use recovery, cybersecurity measures, and more. In addition to guest speakers, the HR Network will also host open discussions, providing an opportunity for HR professionals to share concerns or address specific needs.
