The Risk Ready Grant is a funding initiative of the Ottawa County Safety Council that helps member businesses invest in critical workplace safety improvements. The grant program is designed to support the purchase of safety-related equipment, tools, and resources that reduce workplace hazards, improve OSHA compliance, and strengthen overall operational safety.

The Risk Ready Grant prioritizes investments that help employers create safer work environments through hazard prevention, risk mitigation, and employee protection. Funding may be used for eligible safety equipment and related items that address occupational risks and improve workplace safety performance. Grant requests are reviewed by the Safety Council Steering Committee and awarded based on need, impact, and available funding.

The FY27 program year provides up to $3,000 in total funding, as determined by the committee, with up to $1,000 available per employer, subject to committee approval and funding availability. Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted. 

ELIGIBILITY:

• Must be an active Ottawa County Safety Council member

• Grant-funded equipment must directly improve workplace safety & reduce risk for employees.

• Expenses must align with approved safety equipment categories.
