The OCIC held its Annual Meeting and Holiday Reception on Wednesday, December 10 at Red’s Lakehouse in Marblehead. The program featured a detailed Year in Review, highlighting achievements in business attraction and outreach, progress at the Genoa Industrial Park, and ongoing community development initiatives. Attendees also enjoyed the premiere of the Experience Ottawa County Legacy Video, celebrating the milestone 30th anniversary of this signature event.

Workforce development remained a significant focus in 2025. This fall, the OCIC welcomed the new Hospitality & Tourism Academy, expanding programming alongside the Skilled Trades Academy and Healthcare Careers Academy. All three academies now operate out of the newly renovated Workforce Hub for Career Advancement, which completed construction at the end of October and is positioned to support both student training and future adult education programming.

Before the business meeting began, Executive Director Chris Singerling welcomed BM1 Alexis Gonzalez of U.S. Coast Guard Station Marblehead, who provided an overview of Station operations, community engagement efforts, and their strong partnerships throughout Ottawa County.

The 2026 Slate of Officers was presented as follows:
Following the meeting, guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and conversation at Red’s Lakehouse. The warm, festive atmosphere gave board members and partners a chance to connect, reflect on the year’s achievements, and celebrate shared progress — bringing the evening to a relaxed and meaningful close.
